Last week, native airline FlySafair trended on social media because it launched its R8 sale. But what number of tickets did the airline promote as a part of the sale?

According to the airline, it launched over 30 000 tickets at R8 — together with airport taxes. This follows a two-year hiatus for the airline’s annual sale.

The sale, which came about on 4 May, utilized to tickets up till the top of October 2022. According to the airline, by the point the sale closed shortly after 6pm, a complete of 31 713 seats had been bought for R8.

“We’ve also included a random selection process that helps to ensure that access to the ridiculously cheap tickets is fair.”

Some of those that had been in a position to money in on the provide shared their success on social media. However, different customers criticised the method.

In earlier years, the sale confronted technical points as customers flocked to the web site. However, the ready room system appears to have eased a few of the technical points confronted through the sale.
