As new restaurants constantly open, we have a need for stories that far outpaces our need for another bowl of queso. Add in the restaurants that have been here for decades with relevant and ever-evolving stories to tell, and we find ourselves, once again, putting out a call for freelancer writers.
If you’re interested in finding and sharing stories that make Dallas a fascinating place to eat, drink and live, then we’d love to hear from you. We’re not looking for a critic (we’ve got one of those) or an Instagram following, rather those with an interest in food and culture (or nachos and beer) with a penchant for AP-style.
Our coverage spans all of North Texas including off-the-beaten-path gems and newly opened hot spots. We write about bars, restaurants, taco stands, pop-ups, festivals, beer, booze and more booze.
If you’re interested in writing for us, send your resume, two writing samples and three pitches that give us a good idea of the type of stories you’d like to cover.
Send that email to [email protected] with the subject line “Observer food writer.”
