Seek for lacking boater in Moore Reservoir is now a restoration mission

LITTLETON, N.H. (WCAX) – Rescue crews are desperately looking for a lacking boater on a Connecticut River reservoir.

Littleton Fire officers say three anglers had been on a ship on the Moore Reservoir when it capsized round 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Two made their method to Nine Island on the junction of the Passumpsic and Connecticut Rivers in Monroe. Those two males had been rescued. The third male observed their boat drifting away and went again into the water to retrieve it.

In an try to throw him a life jacket, the person went underwater and hasn’t resurfaced.

Rescue crews from Vermont and New Hampshire will proceed their search Thursday morning.

Crews are saying it’s now more likely to be a restoration mission.
