Reserve Bank have ‘a very difficult balancing act’ forward


Economist at REA Group Angus Moore says he “does not envy” the Reserve Bank’s task over the next couple of years. 

“I think they have a very difficult balancing act for exactly that reason – inflation has picked up much quicker than they were forecasting,” Mr Moore told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood. 

“That means they’re going to have to raise interest rates much quicker than we were thinking even a month ago.”
