A late-season snowstorm introduced heavy snow to California’s Sierra Nevada mountain vary on Thursday, April 21, making for harmful journey in greater elevations, the National Weather Service (NWS) stated. Staff at UC Berkeley’s Central Sierra Snow Lab, near Donner Summit, reported 14.4 inches of recent snow by 9 am Thursday, and stated it was “still dumping” as they posted this video. The Sierra Avalanche Center in Truckee, about 10 miles east of the snow lab, issued an avalanche warning for backcountry areas all through the higher Tahoe space.
