Jake Fraser-McGurk has taken arguably the catch of the summer, flying high to take a one-hand screamer to dismiss Adelaide Strikers’ star batter Jake Weatherald.

The 19-year-old soared on the boundary rope and plucked the ball out of the air, hanging for what seemed like seconds before landing safely in the field of play.

“That is as good athletics as you will see on a cricket field,” Brad Haddin said.

“You’re going to have to go a long way to see anything better than that.

“Everything has to go right, the timing, he takes off of one leg, look at that, takes off his left leg, perfect timing, takes it behind him.

“Doesn’t get much better than that.”
