Girl hospitalised in Sydney acid assault

A girl has been taken to hospital after a suspected acid assault in Sydney in a single day.

NSW Police are investigating the assault which left the 32-year-old lady with accidents to her face.

Emergency companies have been known as to a Haymarket restaurant at 11.15pm on Friday evening after the lady sought refuge inside.

Police have been advised the lady was standing on Dixon Street when a black hatchback pulled up in entrance of her.

Three males in face masks bought out and threw what’s believed to be acid on the lady’s face earlier than they returned to the car and fled.

A criminal offense scene was established with firefighter HAZMAT crews assessing the substance.

Police have urged anybody with info to contact Crime Stoppers, with detectives to deal with media afterward Saturday morning.
