DORSET — Dorset Theatre Festival is proud to announce its return to indoor performances on the Dorset Playhouse, 104 Cheney Road, starting June 23.

The forty fifth Main Stage Summer Season options Jeffrey Hatcher’s adaptation of “Wait Until Dark” from June 23 to July 9; the World Premiere of “Scarecrow” written and carried out by Heidi Armbruster from July 14 to 23; “Back Together Again” a brand new live performance that includes the music of Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway from July 27 to Aug. 7; and the World Premiere of “Thirst” by Ronán Noone from August 18 to Sept. 3. 

This summer time would be the Festival’s first season within the Dorset Playhouse since 2019. In planning for the return indoors, the Festival can be monitoring pointers for indoor performances and dealing with the artists’ unions to replace security protocols for workers and patrons.

Subscription gross sales for this season start March 15 and single tickets can be accessible on April 15.

Based on present circumstances and well being and security pointers, all attendees can be anticipated to indicate proof of vaccination and be masked throughout performances on the Playhouse.
