Celebrating Earth Day in The North Nation

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) – A celebration for the planet passed off in Plattsburgh Friday.

100 Margaret, situated on Margaret Street, was open to households to rejoice Earth Day. Those in attendance had been handled to music, caricatures, and academic alternatives to study other ways to guard the planet.

In addition to scavenger hunts and crafts, corresponding to making chook feeders out of recycled merchandise to point out the significance of in search of plastic options.

Joe Ferris, who owns and runs 100 Margaret, says defending the planet is as straightforward as throwing your trash away.

“Among the many things we can do to impact the quality of our earth, it’s simply looking for a trash can,” Ferris mentioned. “Not throwing a cigarette butt out the window. It’s small stuff, but it’s the small stuff that everyone can do that makes the larger change.”
