New research has revealed almost three-quarters of Australians would have an unexpected funding gap in the event of an accident which leads to a disability – however, almost half find the NDIS too complicated to navigate.
Developing Australian Communities’ River Night says what they found from the research is people are still struggling to “navigate a national system”.
“One of the things that is really important is we need that face-to-face local level support from people that can explain systems to people that may be having difficulty in terms of intellectual disabilities,” Mr Night told Sky News Australia.
