Albanese making errors on ‘two fundamental issues’ for Australia: Kenny

Sky News host Chris Kenny says it was not a great start to week two of the election campaign for Anthony Albanese as the Opposition Leader drew attention to Labor’s border protection policies "with his own mistakes”.

This comes after Mr Albanese was forced to clarify Labor's policy on temporary protection visas after answering a question wrongly during a press conference on Sunday.

“So he got it wrong again, not across even his own policy – blames his hearing or something,” Mr Kenny said.

“But even worse of course, when he does get his own policy right, it is the wrong policy for the nation. Temporary protection visas are vital, as the Prime Minister pointed out today.”

“He's making mistakes on the economy and border protection, two fundamental issues for this country, of course - and two great strengths for the government, two shocking weak spots for Labor.”
