The Australian’s National Editor Dennis Shanahan says a shift in assist again in the direction of the Coalition has occurred “in spades”.
It comes as a Resolve Strategic ballot reveals assist for the Opposition has dropped by 4 per cent and assist for the Coalition has elevated by one per cent.
“This has been very bad Labor, it is what you would have expected, but it’s coming at the worst time, beginning of the campaign,” Mr Shanahan informed Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“I think that Anthony Albanese’s standing has really suffered.”
