A shift in assist again in the direction of the Coalition has occurred ‘in spades’

The Australian's National Editor Dennis Shanahan says a shift in support back towards the Coalition has happened "in spades".

It comes as a Resolve Strategic poll reveals support for the Opposition has dropped by four per cent and support for the Coalition has increased by one per cent.

"This has been very bad Labor, it is what you would have expected, but it's coming at the worst time, beginning of the campaign," Mr Shanahan told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

"I think that Anthony Albanese's standing has really suffered."
